#RandomMondayMorningQuestion: Why do people celebrate birthdays? I mean, I understand why kids do: “Yay, one year closer to being an adult when I will finally legally be a person,” or, “Yay, survived another year of childhood,” (for me, that was a fairly impressive feat), but for adults is it just, “Yay, one more year closer to death,” so, why celebrate that? Maybe trying to recapture the irresponsibility of youth? I mean, I totally understand trying to grab any reason to throw a party, but surely there are less morbid milestones to celebrate. via Facebook
