Fair warning, I am embarking on a rigorous campaign to *Hide* all political and professional sports related posts (Olympic posts tolerated for the moment). I am hoping this will help teach Facebook what I am interested in seeing. I am also hoping that this does not negatively impact my seeing non-sports/politics posts from the same people. I like to know what you are up to, but I’m not particularly interested in your political rants and I’m really not interested in professional sports. So, hopefully, I will still see all your posts about what your having for lunch and what you are fighting for. But, we shall see how it works out.
PS: Want to know how to hide specific posts without unfollowing or unfriending the poster? At the top-right of every post you will see a tiny, very light down arrow, nearly invisible. Click that arrow, and one of the choices (probably the first) will be “Hide post”, just click that. That is supposed to just hide that particular post, but have no effect on other posts by the same person. via Facebook
