A couple of weeks ago, people were cheering a new transit plan put forth by Miami-Dade County. I, not surprisingly, expressed skepticism, which, needless to say, annoyed a lot of the activists in their celebratory fervor. Not surprisingly, one point that seems to have been missed is that with the announcement of the transit expansion, there was no plan to fund it. The New Tropic has a good article describing some of the ideas for paying for it. One thing to be clear is that there is still not PLAN for funding it, these are just ideas.
